Stewarding Creation - the Land

Another part of stewarding creation is to pray for the land - the ground itself and areas of land. The land becomes burdened with guilt when innocent blood is spilled into it and sins are committed on it (Genesis 4:10-12; Leviticus 18:24-28). The spiritual condition of the land is often quite evident in the natural. In regions where much innocent blood has been spilled and much sin has taken place, the region can be in a state of desolation, disarray, and recurring difficulty. God taught Henry Gruver that it is possible for us to remit the sins of the past (Romans 3:24-26) by the power of the shed blood of Jesus Christ and then cleanse the land by applying the Blood of Jesus to it. God has shown me, in the putting together of this website, that this same prayer is needed for rivers and bodies of water, and the atmosphere, and now that we have ventured into space around this earth - that too. Henry Gruver has a life-time of testimonies of how such prayer has changed regions, opened up nations, shifted territories, and softened the hearts of the people living and working in these regions to respond to the workings of the Holy Spirit to bring them into beautiful relationship with the Most High God.

Strategy for Prayer for the Land

As we, the sons of God (John 1:12), move about the earth, we can redeem the land by the Blood of Jesus and in the name of Jesus proclaim over this earth that it is part of the Kingdom of God (Lev 25:23-24; Psalm 2:8). God taught Henry Gruver how to pray for regions. God put together for me keys of Henry Gruver’s teachings for these Recent Land Assignments. A deep layer of prayer is to remit the sins of the past and cleanse the land of the guilt that it is holding from sin committed on it and the shedding of innocent blood into it. The earth responded to the killing of Abel by absorbing his blood, which resulted in it being even more difficult for guilty men to be in fruitful relationship with creation (Genesis 4:10-12). Even the land has its limit to how much nastiness it can bear: Leviticus 18:24-28 "...keep My statutes...don't commit any of these abominations....lest the land vomit you out also".

After praying over a region, it is important to pray over yourself and your group a cleansing prayer. My First Land Assignment, Before I Even Knew That Was a Thing

In 2017, God called my brother, our friend, and myself to travel and pray up the west coast of the States, from border to border. The focus was prayer that the Holy Spirit would move across this nation. In late November, at the border in California, we were first met with death and infirmity. A seal was dead on the beach and an injured (sick?) seagull was struggling to move toward the water.

After setting a specific stake in the sand, blowing shofars, declaring God's Truths, and praying as directed, an unexpectedly large wave came, with the distinct feeling it was saying "Hello!" After this photo was highlighted to several people for unknown reasons, finally one person said, "There's a Lion in the middle!" And sure enough, there He is.... determined.... focused.... unstoppable

We were led to stop in Long Beach and ended up here, at the Queen Mary and a former Soviet submarine. There was serious prayer over the ocean itself. This was my first introduction to prayer for land or bodies of water. Multiple intercessors had had dreams and words they sent us later that day about cruise ships and burly blond curly-headed crewmen.

Life was beginning to be shown to us. A fluffy, healthy racoon was finding a meal among the rocks just in front of us. While we were praying for the nation, God was also teaching us to pray for His creation.

We traveled to San Francisco, and joined with other intercessors there. We knew we were praying for the Fire to fall, the Western gate to be opened, and the Glory of God to be released and flow from west to east - for our nation, for the Body of Christ, for the church in America - and then to the world.

There was powerful prayer on the headlands north of San Francisco looking across the Bay over the city. We knew this was a focal point of the prayer journey.

"Go to Clearwater in Florida by Passover"

In 2021, God took us from San Diego to Florida for specific prayer. We did make it to Clearwater by Passover, miraculously. And prayed in the way that God directed there. In a few days, we knew to go to the southernmost point in the continental US.

As we entered Key West, a friend in Sacramento called and said, "God is establishing your circumference of influence." This bothered me, because the phrase is "sphere of influence...", but God knew what He was doing.

After this, He told us to go to Maine. Whew....Maine is far, it's really far. We went along the east coast states, with lots of prayer in Washington DC, including circling the Supreme Court building.

God brought us to the easternmost point of the US, Quoddy Head, Maine. There was powerful prayer there. Here we began to understand more fully the prayer that was happening over the water, as well as the land.

And then we had to go even further north.

We had followed basically Route 1 all the way from Key West to Fort Kent, again without knowing that it was a thing. There was prayer over many things, but especially lots of repentance and prayer over the first colonies from different European countries all along the east coast.

From here we thought we could head back to San Diego.

This is a place of open access to the river just before it goes over Niagara Falls. The power of that water rushing by is breathtaking. We managed to lay hands on the river here and pray over it as a source of water and as a border.

West Coast Journey

To be honest, intercessors do not always see fruit right away. After we had prayed at the Canada border, we expected an earthquake of change in the Body of Christ, in the nation, something! It was not until years later that I saw a video of President Trump declaring our acknowledgement that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel. This declaration was made three days after we had reached the Canada border.

We know that God accomplished and continues to accomplish EVERYTHING that He purposed with this prayer journey, and we are so grateful to have been invited to participate in it with Him.

We fully recognize that we are not the only ones praying, groaning, working, fighting, declaring, weeping, worshiping. This is important for you to recognize also.

The Horses

West Coast Journey

After we prayed over the farm with the therapy horses, a little while later, we met with a family living on that property, and their teen son's face was shining like the sun! We had to ask. He told us that he had been in deep despair, not coming out of the basement, for quite some time. But Jesus had come to him the night before, and Jesus changes everything! Thank You, Jesus!

Circling the US

Two testimonies of fruit.

First, we particularly looped the Supreme Court building when we were in DC in July 2021. We simply prayed for Justice to be done there, as it is engraved on the building. After decades of enormous struggle, the Court heard oral arguments on Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization in December 2021.

Second, when Dutch Sheets presented the call to Paint Your State in the summer of 2023, I asked the Lord what intercessor group I should pray with in San Diego. He answered immediately, "I gave you intercessors at the four corners." While we were circling the nation, God had introduced us to specific, deeply-rooted intercessors at three corners of the States, with my spouse and me positioned at the fourth corner. We met and prayed over this nation through to November.

Circling the US

God has given us the privilege to pray over many situations, regions, peoples, and organizations with often astonishing prayer, and always much confirmation. This photo is of colleagues praying over the Sea of Galilee. There are many instances of fruit of prayer in personal situations - but these will remain their testimonies to tell.

For larger situations, there is wisdom in not presenting everything publicly until the fruit has developed. I will continue to give testimony of fruit, as God releases it.

In searching for teachings of Arthur Burk, I came to the following excerpt that I felt would be valuable here. I advise that with this (and all information presented everywhere), take it to God, ask Him to cover it in the Blood of the Lamb, and ask Holy Spirit to show you what He wants you to see and what to do with it.

We are to come into unity with Christ and He brings us into unity with the Body of Christ, where we each are unique, each with callings and focus and instruction and revelation that may be different from each other, but work together to accomplish God's purposes.

Prayer For Regions: Additional Tools

This book by John Eckhardt came into critical play at a point when we knew we were to pray concerning leviathan. According to the Bible, leviathan is dealt with by Almighty God. In this book John Eckhardt shows how to pray scripture concerning leviathan (pg 69). We prayed through those scriptures, and within 5 minutes, friends in Florida called, saying the Lord had told them to call us immediately. We did not tell them what we had just been doing. They said they saw leviathan stretched from the north to the south of the East Coast of the US, and God had cut off the head of leviathan. I immediately thought, "Dear Lord, protect us!" Unknown to our friends, we were in the northeast US. I did not want to be caught in the thrashing of the tail of a dying leviathan. Our friend continued, '...and God is holding down its tail." Thank You, Heavenly Father, for confirmation of the effects of our prayer and for protecting us. The safest place is indeed in doing what God tells you to do, as swiftly and exactly as you can. And God gives Grace.
